Ntombifuti (Ntombifuthi) meaning on Zulu (South African) is "Another girl / the second born daughter", as she was the second boat of the original owner.
On the south coast of England she was known as the "Red Bitch" since her hull was painted red, she was often sailed by women, and outpaced her competitors.
It was sailed by Joanna (Asia) Pajkowska a Polish female sailor with a rank of a captain who sailed over 250,000 nautical miles and was one of the most experienced ocean sailors in the world. She completed single-handed non-stop circumnavigation (sailed around the globe three times).

Ntombifuti has quite a pedigree in the British short-handed offshore race circuit.
Major races she participated in are: AZAB 1983 - Ian Radford, OSTAR 1984 - Ian Radford, 22d 16h, RB&I 1985 - Ian Radford, Rod White, TWOSTAR 1986 - Kitty Hampton, Mary Falk, 23d 4h, RB&I 1989, Azores pursuit race 1992 - Raymond Page, RB&I 1993, AZAB 1995 - John Emerson, RB&I 1998 - John Emerson & Tim Alexander, OSTAR 2000 - Asia Pajkowska, 29d 5h, AZAB 2011 - Ralph Villiger, OSTAR 2013 - Ralph Villiger 36d 8h, 27d 11h from Brest after repairs

Synthesis designed and organized complete refurbishment (interior, exterior  and technology) of Ntombifuti, a single handed ocean racing sail boat in 2011/12 for Ralph Villiger.

Ralph Villiger (1975 - 2015) was Swiss born mathematician (EPFL (Lausanne) / University of Oxford / St Petersburg State University / Technical University of Catalonia), globally-renowned as a thought leader in intellectual property valuation in life science industry.
He started sailing at the age of 18. Since then he has sailed almost exclusively short-handed all over the Mediterranean Sea and in the Atlantic. He received the Vasey Vase 2014 from the Ocean Cruising Club and has been awarded Best Adventurer in 2015 by Outdoor Magazine.
Ralph was a hero of his kind with a remarkable ability to believe in others and fulfill extraordinary adventures with the utmost straightforwardness. He died on August 29, 2015, climbing the Gspaltenhorn rock in Switzerland. We lost a friend and a business partner.

Boat was redesigned and prepared to withstand toughest conditions of the oceans and Arctic.
Interior design is minimalistic, but providing maximum comfort and easy of use for single handed sailing over the Atlantic.
Exterior is designed with a focus only function. The external appearance is reminds more of a battle ship than a race yacht.
